The Clifton was the first restaurant offering Indian
and Bangladeshi food to be established in Brick Lane. From the early
50's it became a household name amongst the migrants from the Indian
subcontinent who settled throughout the UK. And during the eighties
the Clifton gained another audience by winning the approval of the
mainstream food critics from all over the country. The Clifton's
success helped Brick Lane become the Curry Capital of Europe.
Now the Clifton has returned.

This is
an upmarket wine bar and grill restaurant with a special cocktail
bar lounge. The restaurant will be open from the afternoon
to midnight for business.

The aim of the Clifton is to promote the unique regional cuisines
from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.
Our head chef has travelled extensively throughout the subcontinent
in order to provide our customers with a range of exceptional and
delicious dishes.
Here at the Clifton, we are working on a range of healthy eating
foods by adding more natural and organic spices and herbs while
maintaining traditional flavours and aromas. We never use artificial
flavours or colourings.
